So, over the last several days I have been canning and freezing and preparing for the winter months. With food prices going up so much, I am going to do what I can to preserve as much as possible. Earlier this week I took these:
FIGS
And turned them into this:
Fig Jam
With a gracious plenty of these:
I made this:
Sweet Pickle Relish
Kosher dill pickles.
Also today, I froze several pounds of okra and shelled butterbeans. God has been good and blessed our gardens this year!
Now, back to that Triple Irish Chain quilt........which, by the way I found the problem, which is quite easy to fix. I actually had made my seam allowances too small on a couple of my strip sets, so all I have to do is to sew over the exisitng seams - thank goodness, because I HATE seam ripping! Tell me, what do you think about the quilting in this one:
Piece!

Boy you have been busy and you will enjoy it all we it cools off. No gardens are successing around here even with the weeds....grin.
ReplyDeleteLove you quilt.
I'd try gardening if I knew how to can. I like the quilt/quilting. It works with that pattern.
