Disappearing Hourglass Quilts

I thought I would share a couple more variations on the disappearing hourglass quilt.....

From PaperPrincess
I never cease to be amazed how fabric cut and sewn the same way, can look so very different, with just the turn of a few squares.

Another endless amazement, the creativity of other quilter's!!!

I really like the way that this one is quilted and will like take my inspiration from it, for my diappearing hour glass quilt.

Disappearing Hourglass Quilt how have you been?  I am afraid to look and see how long it has been since my last post, so I will just not look and stay in denial about. Life has just been happening, no big huge reason for not being around.  I have gotten some quilting into my schedule and here is some proof......

I have been in the dark in more ways than one, in that somehow I missed the whole disappearing hourglass movement. Having done some disappearing pinwheel blocks, I had to try this one! I put the squares together in a couple of hours. They are 17 inches finished.  I wanted them large because I wanted to see the fat quarters in the finished product. It was a fantastic use of a fat quarter bundle.

After finishing the squares and adding a 4.5 inch border, I felt like it needed I added two inch border of squares and another 2 inch plain border.

I really think this flimsy is complete. Now to get her my Millie.
